They Say Do It

Eat Red Meat - Eating red mean doesn’t raise your LD ( bad) cholesterol say U.K. researchers. In their study, 1,152 people were tracked for 10 years; those who ate as much as 8 oz of meat daily had the same levels of LDL cholesterol as those who ate no more thatn 1 oz a day. Beef ctains more than protein it is loaded with zinc and vitamin B12.

Eat Fried Eggs – In a test tube study scientists in Canada discovered that fried eggs may help reduce hypertension.

Eat Salmon – Scientists from Iceland found dieters who ate salmon felt fuller 2 hours later than those who either didn’t eat seafood or had cod, a fish with little fat. Researchers found that eating foods high in omega-3s increased blood levels of leptin, a hormone that makes you feel full. So good for the heart and for your waistline too.

Reading nutritional information provided by restaurants – 99.9% don’t even look at it.

Practice as if it was the real deal – The more often you replicate high intensity race-day-conditions during practice, the faster you will finish in actual competition, says a new study from University of Wisconsin. Rowers and cyclists who performed 6 practice trials at a competitive pace improved their race times by 10%.
